What is Family Connect?

Family Connect is a process allowing for parental oversight of child interactions across the Rookie Me tech ecosystem. By creating a Family Connect Account, parents and guardians can have access to what their child sees on Rookie Me Connect. This child safety initiative by Rookie Me can aid parents and guardians to mitigate their child from harm.

How to setup Family Connect?

Note: if you are not part of any teams yet then please complete points 2, and 3. If you. are part of a team already then please go to 'Account' in the bottom right of the screen and select 'Create Family' then skip ahead to point 5.

Please obtain a team join code from your team administrator / coach and select join team.

After entering your join team code select 'Join Team as Parent/Guardian'.

Please select 'Create Family', if you are a first time user then you will need to make sure you verify your email with the code provided. Note: if you are already verified and still seeing the screen of enter verify code, then please log out of the app and then log back in and follow steps 2, 3 and 4 again.

Select 'Get Started'.

Select 'Add Child'

If your child already has a Rookie Me Account click 'Yes' and follow the on screen steps. If your child does not have a Rookie Me Account then please skip ahead to point 8.

After selecting 'No', select 'Get Started' and choose 'Yes' or 'No'. If you select 'Yes' for my child does have an email address, fill out the details below to invite your child to your Rookie Me Connect Family, this is the end of the process. If you select 'No' please move onto step 9.

After selecting 'No' the n please fill out the form below. IMPORTANTLY the email address you enter becomes the email address your child must use to login to their account. Passwords CANNOT contain personal information like age or date of birth. Select 'Confirm'.

The next page will be Family Connected, select 'Done'

Search for any matching players on the team. In this case Rookie Me has found a 'general' match of S. Graham but I know that this is not my child so I select 'Request to Add Child'.

I then choose the child I want to add to my team.

The final page show a confirmation of 'Request Sent'

The team admin has now been notified to accpet or decline your request. Please reach out to your team admin for confirmation.
