What is Family Connect?

Family Connect is a process allowing for parental oversight of child interactions across the Rookie Me tech ecosystem. By creating a Family Connect Account, parents and guardians can have access to what their child sees on Rookie Me Connect. This child safety initiative by Rookie Me can aid parents and guardians to mitigate their child from harm.

How to setup Family Connect?

Do you and your child / children already have an account on Rookie Me Connect (separate email addresses for each)? If no, then complete point 1. If yes, go to point 2

1. You the parent and your child need to create your own individual Rookie Me Accounts using separate email addresses.

2. If your CHILD is NOT part of any teams yet then please complete points 3 through to 7. If your child IS part of a team already then please go to 'Account' in the bottom right of the screen and select 'Family Connect' then skip ahead to point 8.

3. Please obtain a team join code from your team administrator / coach.

4. Navigate to teams.

5. Select the '+' icon at the top right of the screen.

6. Select join team

7. Enter Join Team Code provided by your team administrator. Select Continue. You will

8. Now that your child and your self have your Rookie Me Accounts we can finish off setting up Family Connect.

9. YOU THE PARENT AND YOUR CHILD, go to Profile at the bottom right of the screen.

10. YOU THE PARENT AND YOUR CHILD select 'Family Connect' on your respective devices.

11. YOU THE PARENT select Create Family your child then selects Join Family and waits until step number 16.

12. YOU THE PARENT when presented with the screen below, create a family name that suits you and select get started.

13. Select the '+' icon in the top right of the screen.

14. Select add child. Note the flow for adding another parent or guardian is the same process as below.

15. Because you have created the account already for your child select yes.

16. The following screen has the code that YOUR CHILD needs to enter

17. Once YOUR CHILD enters the join family code, YOU THE PARENT selects done in the top right and then select Pending Family.

18. Go to Requests in the top right, select your child and accept the request.

19. Lastly select your child from your family, click on the team/s they are apart of and select add myself as parent/guardian. This will allow you to see any notifications, posts or messages from your child's teams.
